- Highlights
May 12, southbound Alaskan Way S will be closed at S King St permanently. A new signal will be in place at this intersection.
May 13-16, the Alaskan Way Viaduct will be fully closed / directionally closed through the weekend. When re-opened on Monday morning, the roadway will be two travel lanes in each direction through SODO. See below for details.
May 19, 23 & 24, the westbound Spokane Street Viaduct (upper roadway) will be closed between I-5 and the West Seattle Bridge

DRIVER ALERT: Friday, May 13 - Monday, May 23 - The carpool lane on southbound I-5 near SR 18 will close around-the-clock from 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13 to 5 a.m. on Monday, May 23 for excavation work.

I-5: Mercer Ave Project: May 20th thru 23rd -11PM to 5AM
The I-5 on/off-ramps to/from Mercer St, including the Express Lane ramps, are closed beginning Friday night through Monday morning. Detours will be posted around the closures.

*** Driver alert *** Monday, May 16 - 2013 - Both directions of the southern mile of the viaduct corridor will be reduced from three to two lanes between the West Seattle Bridge and Seattle's sports stadiums. This lane configuration will remain in each direction through 2013 and possibly longer, until the central waterfront section of the viaduct is replaced.
Monday, May 16 – Saturday, May 21 – S. Atlantic Street will be closed between Utah Avenue S. and Alaskan Way S. from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. Local access to Colorado Avenue S. will be maintained from S. Massachusetts Street. ** Due to Seattle Mariner games on May 16, 17 and 18, this closure will be between Colorado Avenue S. and Alaskan Way S.

Weekend Closure – Friday, May 20 - the morning of Monday, May 23 – Alaskan Way S. will be fully closed in both directions, around the clock, between S. Royal Brougham Way and S. King Street. Additionally, access to the Ferry Holding Lanes (under the Viaduct) from S. Royal Brougham Way will be closed from 7 p.m., Friday through 5 a.m., Monday.

SR SR-16 - See website for closures - http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/PierceCountyHOV/SR16_WBNalleyValley/ Plan for delays! Sunday May 8, marks the last significant traffic impact on the SR 16 Westbound Nalley Valley project before it wraps up at the end of June. A temporary configuration could cause up to three-mile backups onto northbound I-5 during peak commute hours and will be in effect until project completion at the end of June.
