* FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA...INCLUDING THE
 FOLLOWING AREAS...MOTHERLODE AND NORTHERN SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY.

* FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING

* PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN WILL DEVELOP LATER TODAY AND CONTINUE INTO
 EARLY WEDNESDAY. UP TO AN INCH OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE
 VALLEY WITH 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE IN THE FOOTHILLS.

* IMPACTS: RAPID RISES IN SMALL RIVERS...STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL
 BE POSSIBLE BY LATER TONIGHT. POSSIBLE FLOODING IN URBAN AND
 FLOOD- PRONE AREAS. ROCK AND MUD SLIDES POSSIBLE.
